Getting More Than Just A Certificate

I was looking for something that would push me in a way I wouldn’t get from a university or community college. I realized the passion for helping others and doing so in the most natural way possible through massage therapy was a field I had to be apart of.

NHI was honestly the first school to catch my eye, from the ads to the website, I liked the presentation of the content they provided. When I did my research on the school, I found positive reviews as well as support from accredited boards. This gave me the confidence to enroll knowing I would be getting more than just a certificate.

Grow Into the Best Version of Oneself

My time with NHI has truly changed my outlook on life. I couldn’t have imagined the lifestyle and mental evolution that was coming towards me when I enrolled in the core program. This was far from my previous endeavors both professionally and personally. Ontario’s staff has created a one of a kind safe space to nutritiously grow into the best version of oneself.

Ms. Becky and Ms. Alisa’s passion for the professional art that is massage therapy and holistic health care played a huge role in the type of therapist I learned to become. Everything I learned from this experience is beneficial to my career and personal life.

Finally Found My People

NHI helped me find work I love through the culture and community that is amplified by Ms. Ashley from the Ontario campus as well as the variety of modalities covered in the core program truly created the perfect balance.

Currently, I’m self-employed, part-time, doing mobile massage! The other half of my time is working as an independent contractor. I love that I can provide a safe space for others to truly check out of the real world.

Also, I’m taking the ANMT program because I’d love to further my understanding of the body as well as my career in medical massage. A lot of my family members have neurological problems and I’d love to be able to assist or even alleviate some of their discomfort

From grounding in and the importance of a healthy relationship with my own body to the prioritization of knowledge in both eastern and western medicine, I feel confident about my abilities to facilitate healing for others thanks to NHI Ontario. Throughout the core program I found myself repeating “I finally found my people.” With that said, the massage therapy community has welcomed me with open arms and I encourage anyone willing to take the opportunity and join.

The only advice I’d give to anyone interested in NHI and massage therapy is to ready yourself for a very physical and emotional job. One that allows you to push yourself, but only to the limit you feel necessary. Lean into the unknown and trust there is someone willing to help no matter what stage of your journey.
